The empennage is integrated into the fuselage by having a former pass right through the horizontal stabilizer. The incidence of the stabilizer is critical, so the former has to be properly aligned on the spar before being epoxied in place. Another thing that can be seen here is that blocks have been glued to the inside surface of the trailing edge. These blocks add depth to the trailing edge for the hinges.
